Welcome to the Be Number 1 education initiative that brings local aspiring world-class athletes into your schools to establish long-term relationships with your pupils for free.

Schools gain:

• A free, best-practice, on-going programme
• Teacher support for over-worked staff
• Assistance for delivering government goals and curriculum requirements

Our aim is to help you use the athlete’s journey to success, their many challenges and experiences to help your students understand their own choices, decisions and values.

Students gain:

• Access to role models who can honestly share the success and failures of their journey
• Guidance from someone who’s been there and done it and still doing it

Thanks to our supporters, we pay world-class British athletes to become mentor-type influencers so students are able to acquire better life skills, increased resilience and a stronger understanding of community. We provide lesson ideas to support areas of teaching and we support our registered schools and athletes to ensure that the visits are as productive as they are enjoyable.
